Second Day is a Success

It was decided that Adrian would come over for another recording day after the last one didn’t go so well. Today was a major improvement from the first filming day. The schedule that we devised helped us stay on schedule and prevented us from getting distracted. It set goals for us to follow, making us realize we should make a schedule for actual filming days for future projects.

Adrian came over around 5:30 pm, after school, and we got to work immediately. At first, we were worried about the lighting outside. Around this time of year, the sun sets early and we didn’t know if we could in the dark. However, the shots came out nice at night because I have a ring-light. The ring-light didn’t give us any trouble today because we learned how to operate it the previous filming day. But, my partner and I decided that the sunset could be a symbolic feature of the music video.

The boy was pleading with the girl to give him another chance, telling her how much he misses her. However, in their relationship, the boy didn’t put in enough effort while the girl was fighting for the success of their relationship. When the boy is calling her, begging for another chance, the girl wants to give him another chance. But she knows he didn’t give her enough love and doesn’t accept him back, knowing her own self-worth. The sunset represents the boy being too late and the sun is setting on their relationship.

We knew it would be better if we worked with our obstacles, rather than working against them. Last time, we let the outside factors discourage us and prevent us from getting work done. Today, all of the scenes got filmed and I am so proud that I learned from a failed experience. The next step would now be to put the scenes together and watch the vision come to life!
